ABRASTA - Brazilian Association of Thalassaemia is a non-profitable, non-government organization whose basic goal is to assist patients with Thalassaemia and to struggle to improve blood quality and support the needed treatment.

The association was founded in August 06, 1982 by a group of parents of Thalassaemic patients. It is a member of TIF (Federação Internacional de Talassemia) and it aims at improving treatment and quality of life for all patients.
