- To disseminate information on Thalassaemia to health
professionals in our country to help them establish an earlier
diagnosis and also start a preventive treatment with couples that are
planning to raise a family.
- To support adequate treatment, indicating and
referring patients to appropriate treatment, offering support so that
monitoring tests are carried out regularly (ultra-sound,
echocardiography, iron measurements, sugar, hormones and others).
- To give support to the families after the diagnosis
is established, supplying information and clarifications,
psychological, legal and emotional support.
- To incentive blood donations.
- To contribute to keep thalassaemia health
professionals updated, so that we have the best possible treatment
available in the country.
